Creative stories
I find this most amazing, "He told WBIR on Friday that he was he was verbally released from the loan by a senior Citizens National Bank official..." A loan worth millions and he did not get it in writing?
Does he really think anyone will believe this?
Will he file for bankruptcy?
Will he pull out of the mayoral race?
?
Yeah, it sure looks to me like all prior activity relating to this indebtedness transpired in the form of written notices, cancellations or notes, not orally.
(Pet peeve: Former Shurf Tim meant to say that the loan officer released his indebtedness "orally," not "verbally," since both oral and written communications are "verbal." Unless the former shurf sometimes transacts his legal business "non-verbally," like via farts and tappdancing or something.)
Oh, I expect we'll see lots
Oh, I expect we'll see lots of tap dancing shortly.
Hutchison
This is just what we have come to expect from Hutchison. If he somehow wins this thing, I can envision a couple of million dollars disappearing here and there. Oh help us
Why would they release
Why would they release someone from a $4.8 million loan?
Hey...I have commercial loans
Hey...I have commercial loans with those guys and know several of the "seniors". Maybe they would give me some verbal releases?
Nice try, no way.
Well damn...
as a former sheriff...even without a book-learnin' law degree...he should know that a "verbal" agreement is unenforceable when you have something to the contrary in writing.
Does he really think we are THAT stupid?
He also thinks...
...that WE think he sold his interest in SHE group, except that the sale never quite "went through," whatever that means.
So yeah, he thinks we're THAT stupid.
stupid voters
I think the problem really is that he thinks the voting public is too stupid to put in the effort to research the candidates, regardless of party affiliation, and make the right choice based on the person, not party. Oh, wait a minute, he IS relying on the old party line voting that seems to be the norm here in Knox County. I don't want metro government, but I sure would like non-partisan elections in Knox County. All it takes is a change to the charter.
The state's ss-8005 form for candidates
Perhaps the state should change the question on the disclosure statement from "sources of income' to "sources of business concerns"
Oh, wait. Remember he also
Oh, wait. Remember he also said he was not at Black Wednesday. I guess he believes if he tells the stories enough they will become truth. I believe he is getting desperate. If you tell a lie enough times it becomes the truth. He hopes we have short memories. Maybe in the days before the internet that might have been a little more true.
This is why he wants to be county mayor
Let's see how long it take Shurf Tim to ask the McMinn Court to transfer the case to Knox County where he can lean on some judge to find the continuing guaranty voided or worst case scenario to a judge in Anderson County where the dealership was.
Where are all of these sale documents and other written agreements where the ownership interest in the SHE Group was conveyed?
I like the fact that the bank hasn't sued Lane or Hinton and they'll probably have to tell the truth in Athens like they have to tell in the bankruptcy court downtown. Sadly, had the economy not come tumbling down, these guys would have still been rolling and never stopped playing the game.
Let's see if the News Sentinel has the balls to ride this one all the way into the ground.
Question: Does anybody think
Question: Does anybody think it is strange that a civil servant from a modest background is engaged in these sorts of deals?
State of Tennessee records still show 3 members for SHE Group
I wonder who those three individuals are?
The registered agent shown for SHE Group is Michael Ruble, longtime attorney for the people in and around the Knox County Sheriff's office.
I'd like to see where and to whom Hutch sold his interest in SHE Group, in my opinion, I don't think he ever sold it and he's going to have a hard time winning this case since Hinton and Lane aren't in the case and probably won't be if they testify the right way.
Wonder how Mrs. Hutch got on the guaranty without her actually signing it?
Mrs. Hutch
How do you know Jan Hutchison didn't sign it? Has this been reported somewhere?
If the information is correct, could she possibly have given her husband durable power of attorney for finances?
Mrs. Hutch gave Hutch the Power of Attorney
in 1997 and my copy of the lawsuit had the guaranty attached and Hutch used the power of attorney to sign for Mrs. Hutch.
Hutch actually signed the loan agreements for SHE Group, I find it hard to believe that the person who actually signed the agreements for the SHE Group thought he had a "verbal" release all the way around. Again, where are the documents that he actually sold his interest to other members of the SHE Group.
