Love it. Policy perspective

Love it. Policy perspective and argumentation about policy. Knoxdrools comments may hate her, but we know it won't be RedState, FauxNews, and GOP email blast cut-and-paste like Johnson.

Good job, Pam.

Thanks, y'all. There was

Thanks, y'all.

There was almost a real discussion in the comments. That was pretty wild.

I'll guarantee you that there won't be any copy and paste nonsense in the body of the column. I'll be talking to folks and giving real-life examples of what it all means. That's the way I was brought up as a journalist, and during my rhetorical training in grad sch they called me the Queen of Narration. In the long-run, I think it will help establish my authority with the audience. That's going to take a while.

Too bad this gig won't do much more than provide a jumping off point financially because I think I'm going to love it.

Success! And not just because

Success! And not just because one Tea Party drool opened his comment by calling Pam a "soucialist." (Good God, will they ever learn to spell that word? They like using it so much. Maybe if they had access to a good library....)

Great article, Pam. And that was pretty ingenious, bringing up your family, your East Tennessee roots, and their related values as a basis for your commitment to learning and a place for learning. Nobody can accuse you of being an ivory tower elitist who ain't from around here. Keep up the good work!

Thanks

Hildy, my family, though they frequently disagree with me, made me what I am -- just wait til I start talking about my grandmother. ;-)
